Commercial Litigation Paralegal

RMKB’s San Jose office currently seeks a Commercial Litigation Paralegal who possesses the following skills:


  • Knowledge of Intellectual Property and/or Corporate background a plus
  • Preferably a Bachelor's degree; paralegal certificate required.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of strong California state and federal court litigation experience
  • Experience with a defense litigation firm preferred
  • Strong written, verbal communication and organizational skills
  • Proficient in computer programs including Word, Outlook, Excel and Adobe
  • Ability to integrate into a fast-paced environment
  • Experience performing the following tasks preferred:
    • Drafting standard discovery including subpoenas and privilege logs
    • Factual and legal research
    • Summarize transcripts
    • Trial preparation

Litigation Associate - San Jose Office

The San Jose office of Ropers, Majeski, Kohn & Bentley is seeking a Catastrophic Injury associate (with Bodily Injury experience) with 2-3 years of litigation experience.  Responsibilities include:

  • Drafting and preparing pleadings, motions, and other litigation documents;
  • Conducting legal research, analysis and writing; and
  • Managing discovery

Excellent writing skills are required.  State and Federal Court experience a plus.

Senior Associate - San Francisco Office

The San Francisco office of Ropers, Majeski, Kohn & Bentley PC is seeking a senior associate with at least 5-8 years of experience with excellent academic credentials to join its active commercial litigation practice.


The person hired for this position will work closely with the resident director and be a key member of the team, and can expect to assume such responsibilities as:

•Drafting and preparing pleadings, motions, and other litigation documents;
•Conducting legal research, analysis and writing;
•Managing discovery in both small and large complex cases;
•Conducting and defending depositions;
•Working on all aspects of pretrial and trial.

Position Requirements:

•Deposition experience is not required, but is a plus;
•At least 4-7 years’ litigation experience – Candidates with tort (both business and personal) and class action experience is preferred, but not necessary;
•Prior law firm and/or government experience is preferred;
•State Court and Federal Court experience; and
•Must be licensed to practice law in the State of California and be in good standing.
