    LOS ANGELES/NEW YORK, NY – Aug. 5, 2010 - Ropers Majeski Kohn & Bentley (RMKB), a multi-service law firm offering litigation and transactional services nationally and internationally, elected Eric Weissman and Saundra Wootton to partner, effective Aug. 1. Weissman and Wootton practice in the firm’s New York and Los Angeles offices, respectively. The election of these two attorneys raises the total number of partners practicing throughout RMKB’s national offices to 65.

    Revitalization Deal Provides Relief from Foreclosure - REDWOOD CITY, Calif., July 14, 2010 – Ropers Majeski Kohn & Bentley (RMKB) represented entrepreneurs Eric and Lori Lochtefeld and Dream Careers Inc. (formerly University of Dreams Inc.) in becoming the new operators of the historic Fox Theater in downtown Redwood City.  The Fox Theater, which has been an integral part of the city’s downtown renaissance but recently closed due to foreclosure, will experience a grand re-opening in the near future.

    LOS ANGELES, Calif. / NEW YORK, NY, July 6, 2010 – Chambers and Partners, the prestigious legal ranking company, has named Ropers Majeski Kohn & Bentley (RMKB) Partners Richard Charnley and Andrew Margulis to its 2010 edition of Chambers USA.  Charnley and Margulis were recognized as leaders in the “Media and Entertainment: Litigation” and “Insurance: Dispute Resolution” categories, respectively.

    Charnley, a member of RMKB’s Entertainment Practice Group in Los Angeles, is a trial attorney who has practiced law for 33 years.

    LOS ANGELES, CA – In the case, Cyclone USA, Inc v. LL&C Dealer Services, LLC, U.S. Magistrate Judge Andrew J. Wistrich issued his final ruling in favor of the plaintiff. As a result of the judgment and a prior settlement in the case, the plaintiff has garnered a net victory of nearly $3 million. Cyclone USA sued the defendants for trademark infringement, unfair competition and counterfeiting.The plaintiff sells an aftermarket automotive product known as the “Tornado.
