Hacking Law Still Buggy, Lawyers Say

The Daily Journal - 3/26/13

By Alexandra Schwappach

Spencer Martinez was quoted in the article “Hacking law still buggy, lawyers say.” In the article, Martinez discusses the Computer Fraud and Abuse Act, which has recently come under scrutiny for provisions that critics describe as overly broad and out-of-date. Martinez notes that he expects to see “a lot more prosecutions for CFAA violations” and that “by starting with shoring up their own protections, employers will be limiting their potential losses or liabilities in these cases.”
