November 15, 2016

On Wednesday, November 2 in San Francisco, in advance of the U.S. presidential election, Ropers Majeski Kohn & Bentley, P.C. co-hosted a client event titled, “The U.S. Economy, Real Estate Market, and the Elections: A Discussion on 2017 & Beyond,” featuring Tim McGee, Director of Macro Strategy & Research at U.S. Trust, Bank of America Private Wealth Management.

McGee offered insight into what the election – and an Clinton or Trump administration – might mean for the economy, and drilled into proposed policy specifics, including tax, trade and infrastructure plans proposed by the candidates. Of particular focus was the U.S. real estate market and how the new administration’s fiscal and monetary policies, and corresponding government spending levels, may impact key drivers of this sector, such as the federal funds rate.
