Mr. Boyer is a Partner with RMKB in Los Angeles, California. Mr. Boyer’s practice focuses on entertainment and business related litigation. He  has represented a number of Hollywood personalities, including actors, writers, attorneys, and managers in either pre-litigation or litigated matters.  Mr. Boyer has also represented high profile individuals in other professions.  Further, a cornerstone of Mr. Boyer’s practice is the representation of various design professionals in professional liability disputes.  Mr. Boyer has jury and court trial experience.   He also has experience in Labor Commission hearings.

Mr. Boyer has been a guest on KCRW’s program, “Which Way, LA?”, a guest on Voice America’s program Stars of PR with Cindy R, has been interviewed by KTLA, Fox 11 and KABC in Los Angeles, California, and has also been covered by various networks including CNN, Fox and E!.  Mr. Boyer has been quoted or mentioned by Extra, The Insider, Entertainment Tonight, The Huffington Post, US Magazine, and others. 

Mr. Boyer has also written a number of published articles, including: “How Professionals Can Maximize the Impact of an Interview,” “Key Mistakes to Avoid When Dealing With Television Media,” “How to Maximize Your Chance of Getting a Television Interview on a Budget,” and “Theatrum Canonicus: Acting Tips for Successful Communication.”  Further, L.A. Parent Magazine recognized Mr. Boyer for an article he authored about his daughter.  His article on social media was published by Bloomberg Law Reports and the topics of other articles he has written include press releases, crisis management in the entertainment industry, and business development.  Further, Mr. Boyer has spoken to students at Pepperdine and Southwestern Law Schools.

Prior to joining the firm, he served as a Judicial Extern for the U.S. District Court, Southern District of California, and for the San Diego North County Municipal Court (Drug Court).  He also served as a law clerk to the U.S. Attorney's Office, Southern District of California, and to the U.S. Attorney's Office, Western District of Michigan, Northern Division.

Mr. Boyer is admitted to practice before all California State Courts, the U.S. District Court for the Southern, Northern and Central Districts of California, the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeal and the United States Supreme Court.  Additionally, Mr. Boyer is an active member of the Colorado State Bar.  Mr. Boyer is a member of the Los Angeles County Bar Association, the Motion Picture & Television Fund Professional Advisory Network, the Los Angeles Chapter of the American Institute of Architects, and is a former member of The American Trial Lawyers Association.  Mr. Boyer was selected as a Southern California Super Lawyers® – Rising Star from 2004 through 2009.  Mr. Boyer also presides over Voluntary Settlement Conferences for the Los Angeles County Superior Court. 

Born in Lansing Michigan, Mr. Boyer earned his undergraduate degree in business from Michigan State University in 1992.  He then enrolled in the University of San Diego, where he earned his law degree in 1995.
