EXPERIENCE

Dean A. Pappas is a partner in the Redwood City office of the firm. His practice is devoted to providing assistance to insurance companies in the analysis of property and liability insurance coverage issues and assistance in the investigation and handling of insurance claims. He also represents insurers in mediation, arbitration, and litigation concerning insurance contract or extra-contractual claims.

Mr. Pappas is a frequent speaker at seminars for attorneys and insurance claims professionals regarding insurance coverage and claim handling. He served as the Chairman of the Executive Committee of the Santa Clara County Bar Association Insurance Law Section in 1994 through 1996, 2005, and 2007. In 2004 and 2005, Mr. Pappas was named by Northern California Super Lawyers® magazine in the area of insurance coverage. He also serves as an update author for the California Continuing Education of the Bar treatise California Liability Insurance Practice: Claims and Litigation. Mr. Pappas joined the firm in 1984 following his studies at University of San Francisco School of Law (J.D., 1984). He graduated with distinction from the California State University, Chico in 1975 (B.A. Mathematics).
