Eric C. Weissman is an established commercial attorney in the firm’s New York office with a focus on representing and counseling companies and their executives in all aspects of daily operation including their litigation needs.  

In addition to regularly providing outside general counsel services, Mr. Weissman has significant experience litigating matters arising out of contract disputes, employment claims and complex commercial issues.  He regularly assists clients in navigating contractual and business tort issues rooted in real estate, joint venture, insurance, construction, intellectual property, privacy and employment.

A central tenet of representing companies is helping them manage their risk and exposure to claims.  As a result, Mr. Weissman has extensive experience counseling clients on insurance needs, and defending complex claims submitted under professional and general liability policies, including director and officers, errors and omissions, professional indemnity and malpractice, and commercial crime bonds, as well as coverage litigation arising from same.

Mr. Weissman received his Bachelor of Science degree from Indiana University in 1999 and his Juris Doctorate from New York Law School in 2002, where he was a member of the Executive Board of the Moot Court Honor Society.  

Mr. Weissman is admitted to practice before the Bars of the State of New York and New Jersey and various federal courts around the United States, but counsels clients in all jurisdictions.
