Marie E. Sobieski

Marie Sobieski is an associate in the Firm's Silicon Valley Litigation practice, where she focuses on intellectual property litigation, business litigation, and patent prosecution. Ms. Sobieski has experience in litigating matters in both state and federal court, and counseling both domestic and international clients on intellectual property and general matters, including foreign and domestic patent and trademark protection. Ms. Sobieski is licensed in the state of California and is a USPTO-licensed patent attorney.

Ms. Sobieski joined the firm in 2014. She graduated with Honors from Scripps College in 2007 with an undergraduate degree in English and a focus in Chemistry. She completed her formal legal education at Santa Clara University in 2011, and passed the California bar the same year. During law school she was a member of the Santa Clara Computer and High Technology Law Journal, serving as Production Editor, as well as Vice-President of Operations for the Student Intellectual Property Law Association and Vice-President of the Biotechnology Law Group. Ms. Sobieski served as a judicial intern for the Honorable Franklin E. Bondonno on the California Superior Court of Santa Clara County, and also worked for the Katharine and George Alexander Community Law Center serving low-income clients.

Ms. Sobieski is a member of various local and international organizations, including the American Bar Association (Intellectual Property Law section) and the Phi Alpha Delta Law Fraternity.
