EXPERIENCE
Ms. Almassi’s practice focuses on business and employment related matters. She has extensive litigation experience in claims of wrongful discharge, discrimination, harassment, retaliation, defamation, invasion of privacy and breach of contract. She also advises clients on a full range of business and employment issues, including contract negotiations (employment, severance, stock options, partnership, joint venture), employee performance and termination, wage and hour, privacy, independent contractor, joint employment and others.
Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Almassi was a senior associate at a local law firm where she successfully represented numerous individuals and companies in business and employment related matters.
Ms. Almassi also acted as counsel to the Bureau of International Legal Services where she was part of a team negotiating multi-party international transactions including joint venture, licensing, transfer of technology and other agreements. She also acted as counsel in several complex commercial litigation matters before the International Chamber of Commerce.
Ms. Almassi is a graduate of the University of Minnesota (B.A. 1987) and California Western School of Law (J.D., cum laude, 1991). She is the recipient of the American Jurisprudence Award in Trial Practice and Legal Skills.
Ms. Almassi’s reported cases include Rodrigues v. Superior Court (2005) 127 Cal.App.4th 1027.
