Mitchell S. Kim is a partner in the Los Angeles office of Ropers Majeski Kohn & Bentley. He is an accomplished business litigator who has tried multiple cases in both bench and jury trials for Fortune 500 companies in various litigation matters. His practice covers multiple facets of commercial law, including labor and employment, copyright and trademark, products liability, clothing retail, complex commercial liability defense. He maintains a significant caseload and handles everything from pre-litigation to trial or settlement, court appearances, discovery, mediations, and settlement negotiations. He serves as a general outside counsel for multiple private corporations that range in size and capacity.
Mr. Kim honed his skills as a judicial extern for the Honorable Alan B. Honeycutt and the Honorable Andrew C. Kauffman of the Los Angeles County Superior Court. He also served as a certified law clerk for the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s office, V.I.P. program. Mr. Kim has been the recipient of the Pasadena Top Attorney award from 2014 to 2017.

Mr. Kim is admitted to practice in California in all state courts and in the U.S. District Court of Central California and the U.S District Court for the Southern District of California. He is a board member of Alhambra’s Police Foundation, member of Alhambra’s Chamber of Commerce, member of Korean American Chamber of Commerce of Orange County, member of the American Bar Association, the Los Angeles County Bar Association, the Orange County Korean American Bar Association and the Korean American Bar Association of Southern California.

In law school, Mitchell was selected as a Finalist Writer in the Moot Court Honors program. He was also a member of the Trial Advocacy Honors Program, the Asian Pacific American Law Students Association, and the Entertainment and Sports Law Society. Mr. Kim speaks fluent Korean and provides pro bono counseling to the Korean American Apparel Manufacturers Association. While not practicing law, he enjoys many different types of sports, including golf, basketball, football, soccer, baseball, mixed martial arts and is an avid Lakers fan.
