Robert A. Suarez is counsel with Ropers Majeski Kohn & Bentley New York Office. He specializes in maritime, multimodal, and commercial litigation. Mr. Suarez represents ship owners and operators, terminal operators and classification societies in litigation, arbitration and appeals. He also represents clients in regulatory maritime proceedings.
Mr. Suarez received his B.A. from Rutgers College in 1988 and his J.D. from the Temple University School of Law in 1992 where he was a member of the Environmental and Technology Law Journal. He is a member of the Maritime Law Association, Connecticut Maritime Association, New Jersey State Bar Association, and the Bergen County Bar Association.
Mr. Suarez is admitted to practice before the Courts of the State of New Jersey (1993), The United States District Court for the State of New Jersey (1993), and the courts of the State of New York (1998). Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Suarez was an associate at Kirlin, Campbell & Keating and was a partner at the Geraghty Law Firm and Geraghty Suarez, LLP. He also was an Assistant Prosecutor in Union County, New Jersey.
