  • Defendant Biopharmaceutical Manufacturer
  • Kathleen Strickland
  • Retained by a well known Washington D.C. law firm to represent their client, a large biopharmaceutical firm in a criminal matter, and to conduct an internal investigation regarding allegations made by the US Attorneys office that a chemist had falsified data submitted to the FDA regarding the results of a clinical trial of a new potential drug.

  • Ultimately, all allegations were proven false, the subpoena was quashed, the individual was not required to testify nor produce records before a federal grand jury and no charges were ever filed. The defendant company was thereafter sold to a pharmaceutical company based in Europe.
